Personality:

Shard has trouble with (and hates) communicating with others. From his point of view, other people are just problems, and as such, he will only team up out of necessity. In a situation where he could help another at risk to himself, he will leave it be unless there is something in it for him. He prefers to be alone, and doesn't like to be touched by anyone. Doesn't pick up on social subtleties (or even less subtle behavior, like body language or facial expressions). He realizes the value of life, but doesn't respect or care for it. He can be very quick to anger. He suffers severe insomnia, and as such, when able to sleep, it is almost never in a normal location due to a rushed search for a safe sleeping spot.
While fighting, he can become enraged enough to make him go completely feral. He won't remember anything that happens in this state, and generally it takes extreme measures to bring him out of it. In this state, he is physically stronger and rather psychotic. He wouldn't be considered completely aware in this state, as he won't understand speech and (as mentioned before) won't retain memory from this state.  

Appearance:

Shard is about 7 foot 4 and weighs about 258 pounds, broad and on the muscular side. He has grey eyes and scruffy grey hair (lost its pigment from the shock of things he saw while enslaved) that comes down to around his neck. He wears a thick grey cloak with strips of carbon fiber running from top to bottom. It can be drawn completely around his body, and has a hood that can be drawn over the face and clipped to the collar of his cloak. The hood has lenses on it, so that when the hood is over, he can see. The lens view is kind of foggy from continued use, but has a very low grade night vision system. Under the cloak Shard wears steel armour that only covers his torso and the tops of his arms (leaves a gap from the side). He carries his weapon on his back with a holster he made out of scrap metal. He wears a belt for refills of Armbrust bolts and the Dust compartment in his weapon, also made from scrap metal.

Semblance:

Shard's semblance is his Feral state. He can activate it at will, but cannot deactivate it. To come out of his Feral state, he must be calmed or sedated. Shard often refers to this state as "The Beast", as while in this state, he cannot understand any form of communication. He sees everyone as an enemy, and does not retain memory. The Beast always lies within Shard, and can emerge on its own. Shard has some resistance to this, but cannot hold it back forever. When The Beast is coming, there are a few signs evident in Shard. His personality changes a little,and he has a stronger blood-lust. Normally he loves fighting, but when the Beast is coming of its own accord, Shard has a much stronger blood-lust and craves violence. As the Beast gets closer to emerging, there will be dark flashes behind his eyes shaped rather similar to his emblem. When the Beast emerges, his pupils will change shape and color into his emblem. While the Beast is present, Shard's fighting ability is greatly increased, as he is not fully conscious, and doesn't worry about the effect the battle may have on him afterward. He does not feel any pain, and has increased strength.

Bio:

Shard hails from a town called Thistledown, which was small enough to where it would be hard not to know someone who lived there. However, as a kid, Shard never really fit in with other people. Eventually, he completely shut himself of from the rest of Humanity to avoid them. He liked to play in the forest near his house until he fell in a bandit trap. After being carted off, he was a slave for 4 years, during which he was forced into torturous manual labor jobs. One night, a fire broke out from one of the drunken bandit's cabins, allowing Shard to sneak off. It took him 2 years to return to his home-town, during which he learned how to survive in the wilderness, sneak and fight. Upon returning to his home, he found that no-one was really bothered by his absence, not even his parents. This revelation shattered his already dwindling trust in humans, and made him a complete sociopath. He left his home after stealing his parents fortune, a large bag, a strange grey cloak and some rudimentary steel amour. He spent the next 3 years wandering around as a sort of mercenary, during which he acquired a steel sword, which he soon trusted more than beings of skin and bone. He discovered his aura during a job that required him to work with others (much to his discontent) and learned to use it to simultaneously increase his arm and leg strength while coating his sword, making a sort of hardening effect (kind of like a shield for the sword). Over time, Shard developed some slight knowledge of weapon forging by analyzing his opponents weapons. He found a weapon forge and spent the next few months designing and building his new weapon.

Equipment and Battle Info

Battle attire:

Fighting style:

Shard fights by avoiding attacks and attacking at the same time. He'll typically wait for an opening before attacking. He fights dirty, and never attacks outright. His attacks are meant to give him the advantage in battle. He'll usually try to put you in a position where taking the hit is almost unavoidable, if not completely so.
He is also a skilled hand to hand combatant (Which is what the knuckle spikes are for). He doesn't follow a particular style for HtH.

Long-sword/Broadsword

Weapon Description:

A 6 foot long broadsword with a circular Dust compartment just above the hilt.

Weapon Abilities:

The Dust is used to manipulate metal objects (it can move metal around and heat/cool it, but cannot change it's form without completely depleting it's Dust supply.) For larger metal objects, the Shrapnel Shifter uses more dust and requires more strength to use. Also uses more Dust when manipulating compound metals (like steel or bronze) as opposed to pure metals (like iron or silver). This doesn't affect metals that have traces of Dust or have come into contact with Dust in 50 hours.
The Dust compartment ejects four spikes (which face the same direction and extend halfway up the blade), which can spin to manipulate dust, dirt and smaller minerals.

Wrist-mounted Crossbow

2nd Weapon Description:

A small, compact crossbow type device. It is strapped to Shard's Left wrist. It can hold six bolts, or twelve darts.
Shard has six types of bolt. He has canisters with six of one bolt, and some with all six.
Effective range is 50-60 meters, but it loses a lot of power after 30 meters, so effectively 30 meters effective range. 10 meters when using darts.
It can fire as fast as Shard activate it (button on the strap, kind of like Spider-Man's web shooters).
The bolts travel at 35 m/s
It can penetrate a single layer of plate armor up to 2 inches at about 10 meters

2nd Weapon Abilities (Special Bolts):
Bolt 1: Sleeper. It makes a humming noise which causes body parts in a 0.5 meter radius to be paralyzed.
Bolt 2: Grav-Bolt. Upon contact with an object, it turns jet black and changes the center of gravity in a 3 foot radius to itself.
Bolt 3: Silencer. Explodes a noise so loud that victims will only hear a ringing in their ears for the next few minutes
Bolt 4: Hunger Bolt. It works kind of like the Grav-Bolt, but everything it attracts sticks to it
Bolt 5:. Flasher. Flashes a light so bright it causes temporary blindness (Like a flashbang, but lasts longer)
Bolt 6: Explodes an extremely adhesive gel in a 3ft radius (Approximate) that holds down anything it catches. Struggling makes it harder to move.

Combat Knife

3rd Weapon Description:

Shard's combat knife is pretty much just that. A dagger in his belt with serrated edges.
Grey/silver blade with a black handle. No particular decorations.

Shard isn't very proficient at fighting with the dagger, and so tends not to use it. It's mostly for survival purposes. That doesn't mean, however, that if he doesn't have the ability to use his other weapons, he won't use the dagger.
He keeps the dagger tucked into his belt.

Family:

No family he is in contact with.

Strengths and Weaknesses:

He is very strong, skilled at hand to hand combat and swordplay. He has great survival skills and is very resourceful.

He doesn't understand people, and due to his size isn't exactly the fastest thing on the planet. Doesn't have a strong aura and can only use it for 10 minutes at full power before having to wait 40 minutes for it to recharge.

Other:

Shard has been known to be a cannibal.
He has been known try to be nice, but has ultimately never succeeded
Shard hates battles being interrupted. It would be easier to convince him he would enjoy the feeling slowly slicing his arm of than convincing him to stop a fight.

I'm a bit wary that the bolts might be a bit overpowered, and I find it rather difficult to believe that he'd have never heard of Dust for so long. The second one is a bit of a nitpick, I'll admit, but with all the various things they can do, I see fairly high potential for abuse.

Additionally, I'd like it if you'd space out each category a bit more. It'd make it a little easier for me to read.
