Name: Nero Sejanus (Nero is Italian for 'black', also Emperor Nero; Sejanus was Tiberius's Praetorian Prefect)
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: 20 (Third Year)
Personality: Nero is a rough person. He is cynical, slow to trust, and highly confrontational. His years as an orphan jumping between foster homes have left him with a cruel streak that is most evident when dealing with those of no value to him. Part of this stems from a Nietzschean outlook on the world where might makes right. Having had no stable home environment to conform to, the idea of morality values are, to him, as mutable as the wind, and nothing so mutable should ever be used as a basis for anything. With nothing to lean on, Nero relies on himself and is fiercely independent, possessed of a tough mind and a firm grasp on the here and now. Nonetheless, Nero is an honor-bound individual, who firmly believes in the sanctity of the contract and the given word.
Appearance: 6 foot 1 inch, Dark brown high and tight buzz cut. Scar on left cheek bone ridge that runs down to jawline. Muscular, approx. 205 lbs, various persistent scars tattoos on body. Has a Star of Chaos tattoo on left shoulder. Symbol is tattooed onto right pectoral.
Representation: Emperor Nero and the Praetorians
Color: Black
Semblance: Nero is unfamiliar with complicated aura use. As such, his semblance developed from his innate combat intuition, reaction, and agility. His semblance allows him to analyze a fight, as it is happening and read the movements of opponents based on the minute movements cues and movements. From these predictions, Nero can react with great speed along in order to take retaliatory or preventive measure. Far from true foresight, Nero's semblance resembles a combination of intuition and subconscious statistical analysis, and as such is liable to error. Still, it has not failed him, yet. (Essentially, it's super-fast reaction to the point of reaction and action being barely chronologically indistinguishable using predictions and cues)

Bio: Nero Sejanus is an orphan since birth. Growing up, he was shuffled from orphanage to orphanage, and later, from foster home to foster home. At no place in his early childhood did he find a stable environment. Kids were going in and out all the time, and authority figures came and went almost just as often. From here, it's no surprise that his attitude towards authority and morality developed as it did. In lieu of the stable authority figure, authority came from the orphans themselves as they fought and played one another to establish a simple but frighteningly unrestrained Lord of the Flies-esque hierarchy, or at least as close to one as was possible within the confines of the foster care program. Nero often existed both at the top and outside the structure, solitary but commanding respect.
When Nero came of age to apply to Signal combat school, he did so without hesitation, eager as he was to get out of the dismal orphanage. Nero was accepted. At Signal, Nero excelled beyond expectation as he developed his physical, martial skills. However, his disciplinary record was rather in wanting. He frequently got in fights at Signal, both sanctioned and unsanctioned, and though he won most of them, it was not the best reflection of him. Between his disciplinary record and his underdeveloped aura usage, Nero was almost ineligible for Beacon hunter's academy. Nonetheless, his physical prowess carried him through, and he was able to find a place at the academy.

Over the shirt, he wears a black jacket with red accents A spiked spaulder rests on his left shoulder, kept in place with a thick strap that goes across his torso. He wears a dark leather brown belt and brown boots.
Fighting style: Nero relies entirely on his close combat skill in battle. Utilizing neither aura nor long-range tactics, he tries to close the gap as quickly as possible. Up close, there is no holding back, and Nero fights with overwhelming intensity. He is a cunning fighter, and he fights to break his opponents, utilizing everything from joint targeting to grappling to ground fighting to bone breaking. This had led Nero to gain a reputation as a brutal and dirty fighter, but for Nero, a win is a win. Nero, due to his size, can be outdone in agility by smaller-framed opponents. As such, he has adapted to adopt there is a certain punitive attitude to his fighting style (think of combat Sambo). Certainly he fights to ferociously overwhelm an opponent, but, with the aid of his semblance, he punishes his opponent's missteps with devastating counters. This is partly enjoyable to Nero and hints at a slight tinge of sadism in his personality.

Misc. Info
Strengths and Weaknesses: Nero is at his physical peak and is very strong, and quick on his feet. Furthermore, his endurance helps him to outlast opponents, even at the intensity at which he normally fights. This endurance also applies to his pain tolerance, and his ability to endure makes him a tenacious and frustrating opponent. Nero is also a very skilled unarmed combatant.
Nero's agility is not up to pace and many of the slimmer, less physically built opponents. Additionally, for all of his physicality, he is lacking in his application of aura. He has a strong aura, but it is underdeveloped beyond the most basic applications of endurance augmenting. This is both a cause and result of Nero's emphasis on physical fighting that will not be soon remedied without extensive retraining. Furthermore, as a close combat specialist, Nero's is left vulnerable at range, as evidenced by his choice of weapons. As a team member, Nero is not the easiest person to get along with, despite his efforts to be a reliable member. It'll take some time for team members to get over his solitary, but aggressive nature.
